Camilo, el neopopulista.

No entiendo como le damos tanta manija (me incluyo), a este muchacho Camilo Soarez. Lo conocí en 1994, cuando trabajó desde la secundaria en el Colegio Experimental Paraguay Brasil (CEPB) por la creación del Frente Estudiantil Secundario (FES), un movimiento que peleó por la obtención del boleto estudiantil.

Claro, cuando teníamos entre 15 y 18 años, por lo menos en la década de los ‘90 era normal ser un profundo admirador del Che Guevara, que si bien solo creíamos que era un gran revolucionario, lo teníamos como un referente. Pero esa pasión pasa y la realidad nos dice otra cosa. Sin embargo, Camilo siguió, por supuesto, pilló que ser revolucionario podía ser rentable e incluso pasarla bien.

Entonces, allí vinieron los viajes a Cuba, Rusia, Venezuela y otros países enarbolando la bandera del socialismo.

Luego militó en el Partido Patria Libre, junto a Osmar Martínez, Juan Arrom, y Anuncio Martí. Se encargaba de recepcionar las solicitudes de afiliación del departamento Central, hasta que el 25 de octubre de 2005, la agente fiscal Nancy Carolina Duarte, resolvió declarar la rebeldía del imputado Camilo Soarez y ordenar su detención por la producción de documentos no auténticos. Es decir, falsificó la afiliación de un ciudadano de nombre Santiago Arístides Maldonado, quien lo demandó y finalmente, Soarez admitió el hecho.

Como el Partido Patria Libre esta tan desprestigiado por las condenas de sus principales líderes involucrados en los casos de secuestro y asesinato de Cecilia Cubas, obviamente, Camilo buscó otra carpa.

Fundó el P-Mas, un movimiento político que no trasciende más allá de calle Última con unos 500 afiliados, especialistas en armar disturbios y con el que pudieron saltar a la fama tras una ingeniosa campaña marquetinera “Que viajen Ellos”. Camilo se postuló para diputado pero no llegó.

Tal vez para que pueda consolidar al P-Mas en el interior, Fernando Lugo lo nombra al frente de la Secretaría de Emergencia Nacional. ¿Cuál es el mérito de Camilo para que integre el equipo político del Gobierno y un cargo con rango de ministro?

Hace unos días dio una muestra de su total desatino político al declarar que Lugo ganaba igual las elecciones sin los votos liberales, también se declaró un “antiyanky”. Estas expresiones, no hacen otra cosa que revelar su inmadurez política y por otro lado, confirma lo que dicen Plinio Apuleyo Mendoza, Carlos Alberto Montaner y Alvaro Vargas Llosa, autores del libro “Manual del perfecto idiota latinoamericano”. Domina la sociología. Sabe antropología y economía. Escribe versos y es oportunista.

Camilo es el típico neopopulista, un admirador de Hugo Chávez. A ese “revolucionario” que llega a un país rodeado de guardaespaldas que golpean a periodistas. A ese que se pasea por el mundo con los petrodólares del pueblo venezolano.

¿De qué vivió Camilo en estos últimos 14 años, desde que lo conocí en la secundaria? ¿En qué trabajo ha sobresalido para ser merecedor de un cargo público? ¿Vivió de la izquierda gloriosa que da viajes y viáticos?.
