Antes de argumentar con suficiencia su tesis de la inoportunidad de la realización del rally, aplicó su mayor empeño en presentar el tema como una pulseada entre la “derecha oligárquica” y la nueva “izquierda progresista”.
En un momento de cambio político, flaco favor al avance del proceso de transformaciones del país hace la ideologización de cuanta actividad o discusión exista en la sociedad paraguaya.
En medio de las discusiones, Camilo amenazó con desconocer un dictamen técnico, con renunciar cuando el presidente habló de que el Rally no se suspendería, y luego se amoldó de nuevo al momento de hallarse la salida consensuada de la postergación del evento deportivo.
Exponente de una línea política que hace del fundamentalismo una bandera, Soares no es sino una muestra mas de que las radicalizaciones nunca llevan por buena senda.
Finalmente, con una o dos semanas de diferencia, los autos volverán –aunque a Soares no le guste- por los caminos del Chaco.
